Remnants of Guild
I thought it was almost a lie or a troll attempt when I saw Guild’s name underneath the disbanded post. And while it was true that Guild was never completely disbanded when I logged on to check, 37 members was a smaller number than I remember. My friend Feon wasn’t even on the roster. Hell, even I was kicked, but that was probably due to my inactivity as opposed to anything else.
I rejoined hoping to see Twili or Biznasty online so I could ask them, but not even a single person was on at the time..
It was fun while it lasted, the Christmas period being the best time of my Guild experience. It was the time I met Feon, Jagion, and others.
I feel like I saw it coming. I should have known when Biz and Magnus moved onto TERA. I should have known when Twili only logged on for 10 minutes at a time sporadically throughout the week. It makes me wonder if Biz and Twili are still talking to each other (I hope they are).
This isn’t the first time a large group I was a part of had been almost completely disbanded. I used to be a part of the Extra Credits Fan group on the forums and in the chat rooms. One day, I stopped joining the chat rooms after school. One month later I joined again only to find it almost empty, with two people I’ve never seen before. Now the same thing is happening with Guild.
I’m also partly to blame, playing League of Legends over Spiral Knights these days (I’m climbing that ranked ladder), but like they said, almost all of the end-game content had been explored.
If I had one wish, it would be to gather all the Guild members together for one last group picture.. but I guess that’s a little unrealistic.
I won’t be joining another Guild.
I won’t forget what Guild was founded for..
“As we grew however, the meaning of the guild sort of changed - We’re the actual meaning of a “Guild”. Teamwork, fun, power, friends. And regretfully, not many guilds were able to achieve such, so it grew into a strong, binding name.” - Guild Recruitment Page, Biznasty
Let this be a lesson to other guilds.
Time for me to say my bittersweet goodbye..
Remember the Remnants..

  5. 1:26 AM - Fruits: I’m curious, how’s your computer like?
1:26 AM - ShennyNerd: Slightly less powerful than Biz’s from what he tells me. He runs XP too.
1:26 AM - Fruits: nowadays you can get a decent vga card for less than 40k worth of CE
1:26 AM - ShennyNerd: ………Did you really just compare real prices with SK currency?
1:27 AM - Fruits: I… don’t know how that came out. It just popped in my mind.

  6. Storytime with Magnus

4:27 PM - Magnus: When I had neared the end of playing Dark Souls.
4:27 PM - Magnus: I became less caring about everything I was doing.
4:27 PM - Kelgis: Shen isn’t done yet.
4:27 PM - Magnus: I was either killing people or monsters with no effort.
4:27 PM - Magnus: So I went up to Gwyn, the giant goddess of the sun.
4:27 PM - Magnus: And without thinking, killed her.
4:27 PM - Magnus: But all this time, she was just an illusion.
4:28 PM - Magnus: The very sun wasn’t real.
4:28 PM - Magnus: And darkness washed over the world. I turned around, and killed two guards who arose from this sudden change in the world.
4:28 PM - Magnus: And then killed the very keeper on the bonfire of Anor Londo, one who had helped me stay alive all this time.
4:29 PM - Magnus: And beyond her was Gwyndolin, Gwyn’s brother.
4:29 PM - Magnus: And he gave me no choice but to kill him as well.
4:29 PM - Magnus: After that, I looked towards Hell, and departed for it on my own.
4:30 PM - Magnus: It was in hell that I found him again.
4:30 PM - Magnus: The man that had first showed me the power of being with another in this dark world back when it was bright.
4:31 PM - Magnus: And even though I killed the very sun, his own sun was darkening, almost falling prey to a bunch of little cretins that would otherwise control him.
4:32 PM - Magnus: Solaire treasured the sun more than anything, and wished gravely to be so grossly incandesent as it.
4:32 PM - Magnus: But here he was, in this dark and rank tunnel, huddled over in self pity.
4:33 PM - Magnus: I could do nothing but leave, and face Lord Gwyn, the man who had so desperately clung to the flames, even though they had all since extinguished.
4:34 PM - Magnus: I left hell, and made my way to the center of the world, past white gates filled with ghosts, and a land covered in ash and soot, burned away by the very fires that made the kingdom so powerful.
4:35 PM - Magnus: And here I had found Solaire again. He spoke not a word, but glowed as bright as the sun. And together, we faced The Lord of Cinders.
4:35 PM - Magnus: And together, we relit the bonfires.
4:35 PM - Magnus: And brought light back to the entire world.
